The engine for the Swordfish will be this oldie but goodie, an old (but un-run)  Saito 270 Twin. Lots of power and a super sound. I will add a spark ignition system to it. It will easily swing a 16 X 8 wood prop.

I had to design my own landing gear since there was nothing on the plans to detail the construction. It is unclear exactly how the oleos compress on the real aircraft so there is some guesswork here.....We will see how they work after the first flight.

Here the foot-steps have been added to the fuselage, they were cutout of 1/64" plywood, painted and glued in place. The Lewis gun is a plastic Williams Bros. kit mounted in the rear cockpit.

The folding wings are locked at the leading edge by inserting a brass pin into the hole in an aluminum tung. A bungee is hooked over a pin on top of the wing to stop the main locking pin from vibrating out. The same on top and bottom wings.

Here are the bomb racks under the left wing.
