This is a scale rendering of PBY 5A Canso 11024 presently located at
Patricia Bay airport on Vancouver Island. Originally designed in 1935 this
particular airplane was built in 1943 and has served faithfully in many
roles ever since. In 2009 the Catalina Preservation Society was formed by
local volunteers and
C-FUAW "The Shady Lady" was successfully restored to it's present beauty.
This is my second. 1/12 scale (102") flying scale model scratch-built from
plans by Ivan Pettigrew. |
